The Rules
The rules are intended to be consensual and there is a separate forum for discussing what is expected, discouraged, welcomed. Note, however, that enforcement, if any, is not imposed by the site admin, but by members – in whatever way is established in the rules!
Site Improvements
This gathering point promotes higher site utility. Whatever thoughts toward making the site or the community more fun, effective or helpful should be discussed here.
Prompts
Prompts are the sparkplug for the site and may be structured however the community sees fit – the use of a forum-type mechanism allows new content to be identified whenever an Author logs in, irrespective of which prompt is being responded to. Thus, Authors can pick and choose what they want to work on and contribute. The goal is to first, encourage frequent writing and a distant second, to obtain thoughtfully critical feedback from the community.
We come here to learn from, be inspired by and to be of service to others in the act of writing. Participation is the only critical requirement. The site allows participation at any pace.
Lastly, new Community gathering points (forum categories) can be introduced easily. The Community Suggestions gathering point was just added. Suggest a new gathering point there and we’ll discuss it and implement it as the Community wishes.
